BrendanKing(03:38):It was an interesting game, veryclose game, as all the playoff games have been. The Rams beat the CincinnatiBengals 23 to 20. David's not happy, but the cool thing is David got to go.
David (03:53):I was there guys.
BrendanKing (03:54):That's, it's one thing to be atthe Super Bowl, because come on, not a lot of people get to go to the superbowl to begin with, but he had all access passes. He got full access to theentire stadium for like two or three days and then got to see his home teamfrom way back as a kid play in the Super Bowl.
JackPalermo (04:12):Pretty amazing.
BrendanKing (04:12):Even though they lost, I am sureyou enjoyed every second of it.
David (04:16):It was a once in a lifetime.Then again, it's been 30 years since we've been to the playoffs, so This couldbe the last time, but check these out guys. I-
BrendanKing (04:27):Look at him.
David (04:28):... That's the bang gals. I hadto block them on and off stage for this private event that we did called Onlocation. And then I got to walk around the stadium the day before and then Igot to see the game and my brother was there. That's my best friend Swanee overthere, he's the one who got me the gig and check out this view, man. And I justwatched the whole game from there. It was just pretty intense.
BrendanKing (04:50):Yeah. That's an amazing seats.The fact that your brother's there, Swanee's there-
David (04:55):Just great.
BrendanKing (04:56):It's a pretty-
JackPalermo (04:57):Super fun.
BrendanKing (04:57):... Pretty insanely awesomesituation.
David (05:01):I was heartbroken for literallyabout five minutes, and then I realized that the whole event was a lifetimeexperience and I got over it. I was glad we were there, but literally amazing.
BrendanKing(05:13):Yeah. Insane game, I thoughtthey were going to pull it through. Jack showed me a little photo of the factthat maybe-
JackPalermo(05:21):Aaron Donald was over the lineof scrimmage should have been off sides on that fourth and one. So I think itcould have turned a whole different way.
BrendanKing(05:31):They could've been sacked again,but that would've been a horrible time for-
David (05:36):That would have been a firstdown. I'm-
JackPalermo(05:36):It would've been first down.
BrendanKing(05:38):Oh, dah of course,
JackPalermo(05:39):Yeah would've been for sure.
David (05:41):And our rookie kicker would'vefinished that.
BrendanKing(05:43):He would've finished it. He didnot miss a single shot the entire playoffs, didn't he?
JackPalermo(05:47):No, he did not, and I won acouple of bets on him in the first quarter and the third quarter.
BrendanKing(05:51):McPherson, sorry. Beal congrats.Los Angeles Rams. If anybody saw this, I wish I grabbed a photo of this for youlast night. Somebody changed the Hollywood sign to say something about theRams. Oh really? So they covered it in big tarps and made it say the Rams orsomething like that. Yeah. Which was pretty funny.

BrendanKing (06:13):But yeah. Amazing game.Honestly. I thought it was going to keep going and it just suddenly ended.David and I were talking, we were like, oh yeah, here comes. And then it'slike, it's over, it's over.

BrendanKing(06:30):Yes. So this guy, this is thefirst time he's playing for the Knights.
JackPalermo(06:34):For the last 11 months.

BrendanKing(06:37):So this guy's legit andsupposedly is going to be a huge asset to the team. He's not there yet. Becausehe's been off for quite a while, but he's going to be a huge asset. Inaddition, one of our greatest assets, there were all these rumors that MarkAndre flurry was... [crosstalk 00:06:56]
JackPalermo(06:57):Yeah.
BrendanKing(06:57):Possibly coming back. What's thedeal this?
JackPalermo(06:59):Let me chat about that. So mebeing from Chicago, obviously I still look at all Chicago sports and Mark AndreFlury supposedly the word on the street was they were trying to trade him backto the Golden Knights, but he didn't want to go back to the Golden Knights. Sonow they're saying that they didn't go after him. He didn't want to go backbecause he felt like they kind of shafted him, but didn't even call him beforethey traded him all sorts of stuff.
BrendanKing(07:19):He text me and he said, yoBrendan maybe coming. Nah.
JackPalermo(07:24):So anyway. Yeah. Because nowLeonard's hurt but it didn't happen. And I don't think it looks like it's goingto happen.
BrendanKing(07:31):And if anybody knows I'm a hugeFlury fan and if it did happen, I'd be okay with it.
JackPalermo(07:38):Right with it too.
David (07:39):Keep the rumors going.
BrendanKing(07:40):Keep them going. Hopefullyfingers cross it happens. Olympics, it feels like we just had an Olympics ayear ago.
JackPalermo(07:48):We did.
BrendanKing(07:48):Oh we did.
JackPalermo(07:48):Summer.
JackPalermo(07:48):That's Right.
BrendanKing(07:50):Typically it's every two years,summer, winter, summer, winter. But due to COVID summer Olympics got pushedback a year. So now one year later winter we're having the winter Olympics.Right now I believe the United States is actually in third. We just had anotherupdate this morning.
JackPalermo(08:05):We just picked up the silvermedal last night. Women's hockey. They came in second to Canada. So we pickedup the silver medal last night.
BrendanKing(08:11):They were pretty upset. Theyhonestly stood on the ice for like 10, 15 minutes afterwards, close game. Andtoward the end it was like, they had a few chances just wasn't happening.
David (08:21):But it was this story too.
BrendanKing(08:22):Then there was, of course thisfigure skating story that if anybody's watching anything in the news or the Olympics,they hear about this, what's your thought on this Jack?
JackPalermo (08:31):Well, she tested positive.
BrendanKing (08:33):Being a figure skater.
JackPalermo (08:35):Being a figure skater. You know,my mom actually was.
BrendanKing (08:38):I believe it.
JackPalermo (08:39):Yeah. So anyway, yeah she was,she didn't make it to the Olympics or anything like that, but she was. So[crosstalk 00:08:44] yeah. I mean she was positive this Russian figure skater,Russian Olympic committee, because they can't be called Russia.
BrendanKing (08:50):IOC.
JackPalermo (08:50):Yeah. So she tested positive forthree drugs and they let her compete, which I thought was very, very strangebecause you couldn't do it.
BrendanKing (08:58):And it was like a perfectcocktail of things that improve your endurance and your heart rate and yourheart rate.
JackPalermo (09:06):I don't think she should havebeen competing.
BrendanKing (09:07):At 15 years old.
JackPalermo (09:08):But the cool thing is, and notthe cool. I mean, I don't know. I mean the cool thing for me is she finishedfourth. So she was out of the medals.
BrendanKing (09:15):Yeah.
JackPalermo (09:15):Which is great.
David (09:16):And they said, if she finishedfor a second or third, they would have to postpone and not do the medals. Canyou imagine if you were in second place and didn't get to have thatopportunity.
JackPalermo (09:23):You don't get the medal, anddon't have the ceremony.
BrendanKing (09:25):Second place is the first loser.
David (09:27):Yeah. So they didn't deserve it.
BrendanKing (09:28):Not in the Olympics. That is notthe case.
David (09:32):But honestly she was, if you sawher before, like one of the best in the world, like ever, like she wasincredible.
JackPalermo (09:40):Oh well it's because of thedrugs. I'm kidding.
BrendanKing (09:42):Yeah. So who knows I guess it'sup in the air. What will happen with that? Or if it is still even still athing, because she didn't place in the top three. I hate to see something likethat in the Olympics. You'd rather just have everybody compete and work hard.
JackPalermo (09:59):Hate to see controversy. Justhate to see controversy.
BrendanKing (10:02):But I would have love to seeSean White win. But anyway, moving on from that.
JackPalermo (10:06):Moving on.
David (10:06):This is cool.

BrendanKing(10:12):I am the worst skateboarder onthe planet. Tony Hawk, who for our generation is the man.
JackPalermo(10:17):Yeah.
BrendanKing(10:18):Anybody who doesn't know who heis? You're in a hole. This guy created skateboarding pretty much.
JackPalermo(10:23):Yeah. When I was a kid, I waswhat they would call a poser. So I would have like the really nice board andlike the Tony haw T-shirts vision street wear.
BrendanKing(10:30):But you never did one kick ever.
JackPalermo(10:32):Couldn't even do an alley. Justkind of run around. But anyway, we won't talk about that.
BrendanKing(10:35):Tony Hawk was the man, is theman. And he actually was a big part of Sean White's retirement because SeanWhite's also a skateboarder. I heard in the news that the two of them had adiscussion about like, Hey, better to do it earlier. You can still skate andhave fun or snowboarding and have fun and you're not injured. So I've heardthat Tony Hawk was a big part of his retirement. Two insane legends that we hadthe honor of watching incredibly create two sports, I would say.
JackPalermo(11:08):And you can go out and watchTony Hawk.
BrendanKing(11:09):You can so head downtown. MaybeSean White will be there since he's retired now too.
JackPalermo(11:15):Maybe not. Never know.

JackPalermo(11:17):10 years the mob museum's beenopen for 10 years. I think that's crazy.
BrendanKing(11:21):Yeah.
JackPalermo(11:22):I feel like it is still brandnew.
David (11:23):I still haven't been.

JackPalermo(11:26):They have the speakeasydownstairs, which is super cool.
BrendanKing(11:29):I'm from New Jersey and Ihaven't been to the mob museum.
JackPalermo(11:33):I am from Chicago, so like I goonce a month anyway. Just kidding, I have to see my family.
BrendanKing(11:37):You got to see your familythere.
JackPalermo(11:38):So yeah. But they have tospeakeasy downstairs with these cool cocktails.
BrendanKing(11:41):So there's one there as well. That'sright. I forgot about that.
JackPalermo(11:44):They Serve these cocktails andlike books and stuff. It's really cool.
BrendanKing(11:48):That whole street right there,that last picture you have the mob museum and if you go up that street toGeorge's all that, there's some great, great, great restaurants there.
JackPalermo(11:56):Triple George.
BrendanKing(11:56):Yeah. Triple George.
BrendanKing(11:58):Great area. But mob museum 10years. I remember I got here in 09'. It opened like the next year. It was a bigaddition to downtown and now downtown's a different world.
JackPalermo(12:07):Different World.
BrendanKing(12:08):From then. So obviously they hadthe right idea when they did it. Go check out the mob museum.
JackPalermo(12:13):It's really cool.
BrendanKing(12:14):It's very much worth the tripfrom everybody I've talked to. It's definitely worth it.
JackPalermo(12:18):There's a few Pelemos in there.
BrendanKing(12:19):Yeah, Sure. No there's no Kingsthere at all. So Cirque du Soleli, but we don't know, but we know.
JackPalermo(12:26):We don't know but what we knowit's coming back. We don't know what it's all about.

BrendanKing(13:45):Wait, so its Motley crew, Defleopard, Poison and Joan jet.
JackPalermo(13:48):Yeah.
David (13:48):That'll be good.
BrendanKing(13:49):That's crazy. For some reason,everything that's out right now, maybe it's because we're in our forties andthey know that people in their forties need to go out cause they don't.Everything's based on our generation right now. So if you're born in theseventies or eighties, you got lots to do this weekend.

BrendanKing(14:49):We've got a couple friends whoalso have kids in the show. We've got mutual friends. He's the tin man.

BrendanKing(14:57):Oh yeah.

BrendanKing(14:58):She was Anna in frozen. So she'sin wizard of Oz. You want to see a bunch of very talented kids, you won't bedisappointed at all. David (15:40):Yeah. Disney on ice for sure.
BrendanKing(15:42):Disney on ice. I couldn't thinkof what I was called. Yeah. So if you have kids, definitely go check out Disneyprincess, the concert at Smith center, which is a beautiful venue. You greatplace to go see some live princesses.
JackPalermo(15:55):You can sing along, right? Causeyou know all the words.
BrendanKing(15:56):Yeah. I do know most.

BrendanKing(15:59):Yeah. I have to say.

BrendanKing(16:02):So if you want to go to a Disneyshow, you can then move to Palm Springs and move to a Disney community. SoDisney is building a dream neighborhood. If that's your dream in the Californiadesert, they've launched a new business to develop residential communitiescalled story, living by Disney.
David (16:22):Look at that.
JackPalermo(16:23):It looks like there's steamcoming off the water. That's so hot.
BrendanKing(16:27):I think it's supposed to be theRays of the sun. The Jesus is blessing. So this does look cool though. Myinitial thoughts on it were is this going to be hokey? I just worry sometimesthings can be a little cheesy, but Disney does a good job at nearly everythingthey do.

Thething about breakfast burritos is I almost never can finish these things.They're always huge. So yeah. Check them out. As you know, we love our Vegasfood and if you go, want to go work off the burritos, right. You're going tohave to wait a little while. But red rock trail work is expected to begin byyears end, this trail is a hundred million dollars and the first half isalready funded. That's awesome. So the first section is already funded and it'sgoing to be an incredible loop. It's going to connect from Summer land all theway around to nearly Mountain's edge off of blue diamond. And I believe it'sgoing to be multi-lane it's 20 miles, 20 miles in some of the most beautifulparts of Vegas.
BrendanKing(21:00):And so that road, as we allknow, is one of the most dangerous roads for cyclists in the entire area. A lotof cyclists have died here because people start gawking at the mountains andit's paying two lanes, not paying attention. So that's a big part of thisparticular path. And I believe it's only going to take a few years and thisentire thing will be done. It's going to be amazing. It's going to have a slowlane in a fast lane going both through directions. So if someone wants to bookit on a bike, they can. And if someone wants to walk and or skip.
JackPalermo(21:33):Skip.
BrendanKing(21:35):If someone wants to skip totheir Loo, they can, it's going to be pretty amazing.
JackPalermo(21:40):Yeah. Very cool.

JackPalermo(21:44):Yeah. Right, right. So there's anew downtown coworking space openings. Soon co-working space created by thecity of Las Vegas is getting a second outpost in the next few months and it'salready landed two tenants. So they're planning on getting some more techbusinesses in there and things like that, which is cool to add more todowntown.
BrendanKing(22:01):And I used to be a member of adowntown co-working space, even though I lived nowhere near downtown, justbecause the energy's really nice. Like it's all tech companies and a lot ofinteresting people that are doing a lot of the small businesses in town are inthese little co-working spaces. So the atmosphere is pretty cool. So it's niceto see another one downtown. Hopefully we've tried once to be a tech center.Thanks to Tony Shay it did fade a little and I know I still feel like that daywill come. Look at Austin, Texas.
JackPalermo(22:31):They're still, I mean, that'scrazy though.
BrendanKing(22:32):Austin for tech is incredible.It's crazy. Look at down in California. I'm trying to think. Right near Lagunabeach there. Right? Inland it's like silicone Southern California.
JackPalermo(22:44):Silicone South.
BrendanKing(22:46):So hopefully I think Vegas hasthe potential, this type of thing because of the fact it's easy to get anywherein the world. People are always here anyway for conferences and affordabilitywise, no taxes, no corporate tax. The only thing we don't have is the workforcelike Silicon valley. A lot of people pour right from Stanford into the workthere, but Hey doesn't mean we can't have a Las Vegas Stanford.
JackPalermo(23:14):Move here.
BrendanKing(23:16):But definitely nice to see forsure. So I was searching around on YouTube this morning and came across GrahamStephan who I followed for quite a while. This guy's got a really great insighton the current housing market. It's not a long video. It's like 10 minutes, butit does a really good job of describing the current situation of low inventoryhigh demand. The fact that it's hard to get materials so builders have slowedtheir construction and equally the labor force is quite limited. So he doeswhat I think is a very good job of explaining the current status of theeconomy.
JackPalermo(23:56):It's a great breakdown.
BrendanKing(23:57):And what the possibility is ofthe future. And I was telling my wife about it and she's like, I need I'mvisual. I need to see it.

BrendanKing(24:27):Yeah, it's going to crash. Sosay we went up 5%. One year. Next year we went up 10% next year we went up 20just using round numbers. So 5 10 20. The fact that the next year is atpossibly six to eight is my assumption this year. It just looks like there thisdownturn, but all it is our new normal. So our normal market is anywhere around3% price increase for homes. 3% is historically normal.
JackPalermo (24:54):Yes, we're very not normal.
BrendanKing(24:55):26% is not normal. It's notunhealthy to go down to only six to eight, which is still double normal.

BrendanKing(25:02):So Graham Stephan does a goodjob of describing the fact that this is the new normal for now due to the factit's low inventory, high demand, check out the video. The breakdowns kind of astounding. Because you dosee the fact that right now at 1800, we're at nearly the lowest point of numberof homes on the market since the pandemic started. And that's a combo of singlefamily, condos and town and town homes. You remove that and you're down to like1100 homes, all price points.

BrendanKing(28:04):And then look, no neighborbehind. If we go back to that last photo, no neighbor behind and no neighbornext to the house. So for privacy, it's about as, as private as it gets. Andspeaking of that trail. The trail's going to be right down the street.

BrendanKing(28:46):So the nice thing about aMatterport for a lot of our out of town clients is we'll send this to them andthey have the ability to check out the home as if they're there. And not onlycan you walk around the home, but you can also measure, there's actually aruler where you can grab the wall and see measure how long it is. If your couchfits, lots of different things you can do with the ruler.
David (29:12):here it is, boom.
BrendanKing(29:14):Yeah, exactly. So they'll tellyou and it's quite accurate. So look 2.4 feet, 5.6 feet and I've checked itwith the actual and it's really accurate. And so if we want to walk through theButler pantry here and then we're in the kitchen and this is that greatrenovated kitchen we were talking about with a huge, huge island.
David (29:39):I'm just messing up here guys,sorry.
BrendanKing(29:41):So, and that's the floor planview. So the nice thing, if you click on the bottom is so you have the floorplan view, so you can see exactly from above what just the first floor lookslike. And then you can switch to the second floor and see what that looks liketoo. Just based on floor plan and then the guest room or skipping around allover the place here and then the loft. Anyway, you can use the Matterport tosee through the entire home. That's the point of this so that in your own timeyou can check out the property and see what it looks like.
