JackPalermo(00:35):Jack Palermo from the BrendanKing Group at Real.
BrendanKing(00:37):And this is episode number 34 ofthe Unnamed Show.
JackPalermo(00:39):The Unnamed Show. Hey, Brendan.
BrendanKing(00:43):What's up, Jack?
JackPalermo(00:44):What's going on?
BrendanKing(00:45):Another episode, another day.Don't forget, as always, text VIP to 702-553-1955, text VIP to 702-553-1955.
JackPalermo(00:56):1955. Don't forget to join us onInstagram @brendankinggroup. It's our new Instagram page, @brendankinggroup.
BrendanKing(01:05):And I'm still not used to sayingit without the.
JackPalermo(01:06):I know.
BrendanKing(01:07):Every single time I'm like at[crosstalk 00:01:10].
JackPalermo(01:10):I bit my tongue like three timesthere.
Brendan King (01:11):We just got back from MomentumMastermind where we learned a whole bunch of thought nuggets and information.
JackPalermo(01:18):And you were one of our keyspeakers.
BrendanKing(01:20):Lies. That's lies.
David (01:21):You were amazing.
JackPalermo(01:22):He was amazing. Look at thatguy.
David (01:23):Yeah.
JackPalermo(01:24):Yeah.
BrendanKing(01:26):I look better in the photo.
JackPalermo(01:27):Yeah.
BrendanKing(01:28):It's airbrushed.
JackPalermo(01:30):The whole team went. It wasvery, very, very informative as you can see. That was a joke.
BrendanKing(01:37):Jack, wake up.
JackPalermo(01:38):We took that before it evenstarted.
David (01:39):That's hilarious.
JackPalermo(01:41):It was awesome, though. It wasvery informative. You did a great job.
BrendanKing(01:44):Chris made the trip out. There'sChris in the middle. Chris came to hang and check it out as well. Yeah, all ofthe speakers were really great. I enjoyed it. Definitely had the support of theteam which was really nice.
JackPalermo (01:56):It was awesome.
BrendanKing(01:57):But yeah, it was a good time forsure. We will be having another one sometime soon. The plan is possibly to doit once a month, was the rumor I heard while I was there. So if that's thecase, if you missed this one, you can always make the next one. One of myclients was there actually.
JackPalermo(02:11):Yeah, Ashley.
BrendanKing(02:12):Yeah, Ashley was there. Ashley'sbeen on this show before in the past. Thanks for coming, Ashley. I know youwatch the show too, so thank you for coming by and supporting. Hopefully, youtook something home even though you don't do real estate.
David (02:23):I think she won a basket, didn'tshe?
JackPalermo(02:25):She did.
BrendanKing(02:25):Oh, she did?
JackPalermo(02:26):She did.
David (02:27):[crosstalk 00:02:27].
BrendanKing(02:26):Carolyn and Ashley won.
JackPalermo(02:27):Yeah, and Ashley won. Yeah.
BrendanKing(02:30):Oh, that's hilarious. That'samazing. I love that. We had a lot of fun. Honestly, it was a great time. Welearned a lot. And now, we're here at this point in time. And unfortunately, Ihave to say in the news, Russia has moved in and begun the assault on Ukraine.I didn't think this was possible in modern times, but I guess it is.
JackPalermo(02:55):Can't put anything past VladimirPutin.
BrendanKing(02:57):[crosstalk 00:02:57]. What I'velearned, and I've been reading about this because I did not know the situationvery well. They're not a part of NATO, so we specifically don't have militaryallegiance to them.
JackPalermo(03:11):Right.
BrendanKing(03:11):So technically, that's why we'renot in any situation where we may be going to war, at least in the Ukraine iswhat I heard. But who knows, if this gets bad, I wonder what the world will do,because at some point, I think someone's got to step in and who is that?
JackPalermo(03:27):Right, well NATO troops are onthe Eastern side of the country right now trying to move in.
BrendanKing(03:31):Just in case they move thatdirection?
JackPalermo(03:32):I guess. I mean [crosstalk00:03:34].
BrendanKing(03:33):Interesting.
JackPalermo(03:34):You hear things, obviously, wejust came from the Mastermind, and I just popped on the radio, tried to get alittle bit more information. They're saying some NATO troops have moved in now,and we'll see what happens.
BrendanKing(03:43):I haven't watched this sincelast night. Last night, Chris, my brother, came into town. We were supposed todo some work, but when all of this took place, we just decided to watch whatwas going on because it was so crazy that in modern times we're back in thissituation again. But yeah, I think Putin wants to go out strong, creating hisown...
JackPalermo(04:03):I think he wants to bring itback to his legacy to bring the Soviet Union back.
BrendanKing(04:07):Yeah. It's 40 million people, soit's nothing to write home about. It's a pretty sizeable number of people inthe Ukraine. So I don't know a lot about this stuff, but I know just a littlebit of what I've read and learned recently.
JackPalermo(04:20):And it is on the front page ofevery paper, everything you can see.
BrendanKing(04:21):But hopefully, this thing comesto an end quickly and doesn't proceed any farther than where they've alreadygone.
JackPalermo(04:29):True.
BrendanKing(04:30):But I haven't watched the newstoday, but I really hope... Here's the thing, when something like this happens,inevitably...
JackPalermo(04:38):Gas prices go up.
BrendanKing(04:39):Yeah. Stock market goes down, gas prices go up, and even possibly mortgage rates may come down because ofthis.
JackPalermo(04:45):May come down, right?
BrendanKing (04:47):So what was that again? Go back.
JackPalermo(04:49):It's the highest in eight years. So Las Vegas or Nevada has had the gas prices surge at an eight-year high.
BrendanKing(04:55):Wow.
JackPalermo(04:55):Average of $3.95 per gallon.
BrendanKing(04:57):Somewhere, it was $4.09.
David (05:00):It was $4 for me this morning, yeah.
BrendanKing(05:03):Oh my god, if you don't have anelectric car, maybe now's the time.
David (05:06):Or get a Costco card.
BrendanKing(05:07):Yeah, or get a Costco card.Yeah, then it'll be $3.92.
David(05:10):[crosstalk 00:05:10]. Hey, butwhile I was looking this up, I found this GasBuddy.com.
BrendanKing(05:15):So yeah, if you're looking forthe cheapest place nearby, David found this place: GasBuddy.com. This shouldgive you the ability to find the cheapest gas station nearby. Hey, if you save$0.15 a gallon...
JackPalermo(05:28):That's amazing.
BrendanKing(05:29):... every few gallons, that's adollar. It definitely could save you some money. But yeah, $4.09, oh my God. Iremember it was on... Oh, I remember.
JackPalermo(05:38):Back in your day.
BrendanKing(05:39):Back when I was a kid, it wasunder a dollar.
JackPalermo(05:42):Oh look at you.
BrendanKing(05:43):So I guess that's all relative, but I just totally sounded like a big, old man.
JackPalermo(05:49):You probably come from the '20sor something.
BrendanKing(05:51):Let's move on from that. So insports, the A's have offers on at least four potential Las Vegas Stadium sites. That's great.
JackPalermo(05:59):Yes, it's amazing. Hopefully,Las Vegas fairgrounds. They were looking at one in the South West. They werelooking at one in like [crosstalk 00:06:06].
BrendanKing(06:06):The fairgrounds is a good spot, that's like Sahara, right?
JackPalermo(06:09):Yeah, it's right across from theSahara Hotel, yeah, which would be great. It's open space. It would bewonderful. They were also looking, I remember-
BrendanKing(06:15):I went to Rock in Rio there. Iwalked from the Mirage to Rock in Rio.
JackPalermo(06:15):Yeah, it's awesome.
BrendanKing(06:20):It's the perfect spot.
JackPalermo(06:21):It's awesome. My wife used tolive right across the street. Used to go over there all the time, it's awesome.
BrendanKing(06:24):That's right. That's when youwere dating.
JackPalermo(06:26):Yeah, when we were dating.
David (06:27):Unless they build one in Oakland.Look at Oakland.
BrendanKing(06:30):Yeah. This part of theconversation I didn't like seeing, but I guess Oakland is still in play. They're concentrating on the area surrounding the strip here, but there,Oakland City Council certified the Environmental Impact Report for a planned$12 billion.
JackPalermo(06:45):I thought that was a misprint.That's crazy.
BrendanKing(06:48):What's the cost of SoFi? Four?
JackPalermo(06:51):[inaudible 00:06:51] saying itwas like five SoFi. And then, here it was one and half.
BrendanKing(06:54):So $12 billion?
JackPalermo(06:57):They have to have shops and allsorts of stuff around there.
David (06:59):But look behind the stadium too.Like they're building all of the [crosstalk 00:07:01].
BrendanKing(07:00):Yeah, I think it's those towers.
JackPalermo(07:02):They're probably building placeswhere people can live and stuff. Yeah, that makes sense. You know, whatever.
BrendanKing(07:07):Yeah. So a $12 Billion project, that's massive, that's insanely large. Hey, Vegas is a better place.
JackPalermo(07:16):Speaking of sports, Vegas GoldenKnights. Their schedule picks up with the Pacific Division Title at stake. So,they played, because of all the COVID stoppage, the Olympic stoppage-
BrendanKing (07:27):I think the big reason is wedidn't have any stoppages.
JackPalermo (07:30):Yeah, we did, during theOlympics, they didn't play. Some away games, they didn't play. So they had only51 games in 132 days. Now, they're playing 31 in their final 64 games, which isgoing to be a big stretch, go for the division title. I will be there onSaturday. Come visit me in section one.
BrendanKing (07:49):This isn't baseball.
JackPalermo (07:50):No.
BrendanKing (07:51):One game every other day inhockey, that's...
JackPalermo (07:54):It hits your body pretty hard, for sure.
BrendanKing (07:55):That's a hard schedule. If wejust stand out here and run into each other, we'd be sore for four days.
JackPalermo (08:01):Right?
BrendanKing (08:03):They're playing hockey for Godsakes, 60 some odd games. 31 games in 64 days, that's crazy. Pete DeBoer says,"Rest of Knights' schedule will be a gauntlet." That's a good way toput it.
JackPalermo (08:15):Yeah, totally.
BrendanKing (08:16):That's definitely a good way toput it, but they're looking good. They just can't get to that next step.
JackPalermo (08:22):Jack Eichel's back, he'splaying. He's back from injury.
BrendanKing (08:25):We're still on top. I thinkwe're second in the Pacific.
JackPalermo (08:28):Second.
BrendanKing (08:28):And I think we're somewhere likethirteenth in the league, but that doesn't matter. All that matters is we makethe playoffs.
JackPalermo (08:34):Make the playoffs. Get there, and everything can change. Season number two, as I like to say.
BrendanKing (08:38):Two, oh, yeah. Because hockeyhas long, long playoffs.
JackPalermo (08:42):Yeah. So they open with Fridaywith the Arizona Coyotes, and then they come back Saturday against the ColoradoAvalanche.
BrendanKing (08:47):That's where Jack is in sectionone. If you're looking for Jack, stand up and yell, "Jack." There'sonly one Jack there.
JackPalermo (08:53):I'll wave.
BrendanKing (08:54):So Cirque du Soleil, a company Iknow well, has revealed the details. And we told you we'd tell you by nextweek, and this is the week. The new show is called the Mad Apple. Not the BadApple.
JackPalermo(09:07):The Mad Apple.
BrendanKing(09:08):Not the Big Apple, but the BadApple. The Mad Apple, yeah.
JackPalermo(09:13):Yeah, not bad, mad.
BrendanKing(09:15):It's the Mad Apple. It's ablend, I think, of Big Apple and Bad Apple and Mad Apple.
JackPalermo(09:20):Bad Apple and Mad Apple, right, yeah.
BrendanKing(09:23):So yeah, Mad Apple, we'll see.I'm actually excited about this. This is more work for more of the performersin Vegas. A lot of people lost their jobs when Zumanity closed, so this isgoing to be replacing Zumanity at New York, New York.
JackPalermo(09:39):Yeah. It's set to open May 26th,previews open May 12th. And tickets are starting at $59 without fees. Availableat madapplelv.com.
BrendanKing(09:47):And it's a non-stop New Yorkthrill ride is how they describe it with headlining cast members, comedian BradWilliams, freestyle rapper Chris Turner, and lead vocalist Charlie Black. Sointeresting concept, looks very cool, super excited about it. Happy to just seethat there's another Cirque show coming back, and they're not replacing it withsomething random. So The Amazing Jonathan unfortunately has passed away at 63.From what I remember, he's been sick for quite a while. This guy, [Akenna 00:10:25],a friend of mine, knew him actually pretty well. He used to go to his Halloweenparty and said it was incredible.
JackPalermo(10:31):Oh, nice.
BrendanKing(10:31):But said he's just a reallysmart, nice guy. But unfortunately, yeah, his last and final appearance wasJanuary 13th during a roast of ex-Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar Goodman, at OscarSteakhouse at the Plaza. And unfortunately, he has passed away. I believe hehad some sort of health problem. I don't remember what it was. But yeah, I'msorry to hear that. But The Amazing Jonathan has passed away. On a whole othernote, Jack is very excited about this.
JackPalermo(11:02): So excited. Not any moreexcited than our friend, Denise Tipton, but BTS announces four Las Vegasstadium shows with accompanying fan programs for April. So this is going to becool. Four-day run of concerts, April 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th. The show willtake place at Allegiant Stadium, 65,000 capacity, which most likely they willfill every seat.
David (11:24):And it's crazy.
BrendanKing(11:24):Yeah, this band is so popular. Ialmost think they're like NSYNC level, Backstreet Boy level because they'relike the only popular one right now.
JackPalermo(11:31):Yes.
BrendanKing(11:32):Like back then, we had 98Degrees, NSYNC, like there were multiple bands kind of spreading out all the-
JackPalermo(11:39):Or go back to our days of the NewsKids On The Block and New Edition.
BrendanKing(11:41):NKOTB. But BTS is massive.
David (11:45):But four days at AllegiantStadium.
JackPalermo(11:47):And they'll sell out everysingle day.
David (11:49):Crazy.
JackPalermo(11:49):Because you know there'll besome crazy kids that will go every day.
David (11:52):Oh, yeah.
BrendanKing(11:52):220,000 people, think aboutthat. 220,000 people are going to come and watch this band, which is crazy. Idon't know a single song, but I know my daughters do.
JackPalermo(12:04):Well, in addition to the liveshow-
BrendanKing(12:06):And they added a new person tothe show. If you look all the way on the left, Denise is-
JackPalermo(12:09):Denise Tipton on our team.
BrendanKing(12:11):... now part of the BTS.
David (12:13):That's a surprise for her. We'llsee if she sees this [crosstalk 00:12:16] watch the show.
JackPalermo(12:16):You're now a part of BTS.
BrendanKing(12:17):Yes. She is a big fan. We didn'tknow this till recently.
JackPalermo(12:21):No, we didn't.
BrendanKing(12:21):She came on the show, and she islike a BTS fanny. So she'll be there.
David (12:28):She did an open house, and Igave her the speaker.
JackPalermo(12:31):And she put on K-pop.
David (12:31):She put on K-pop.
JackPalermo(12:32):Yeah, she did. Same here, yeah.
BrendanKing(12:34):So Denise is a K-pop fan. Newsto us. And she will be there on April 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th.
JackPalermo(12:41):Don't forget to join their...She told me today at the Mastermind, don't forget to join the BTS fan clubcalled Weavers.
BrendanKing(12:50):She told you this?
JackPalermo(12:50):Yes, because then you can secureyour tickets early.
BrendanKing(12:55):I love it.
JackPalermo(12:55):Thank you, Denise.
BrendanKing(12:56):We all have our funny things. Ithink people don't know that people like it. That one just cracks me up. Butyou know what, they're talented, good music, great dancers. So yeah, enjoy theshow. I can't look at that photo.
JackPalermo(13:10):It's so good.
BrendanKing(13:11):One more time. Just one moretime.
David (13:12):Okay, right. Here we go, and...
BrendanKing(13:13):There it is.
JackPalermo(13:13):There it is.
David (13:15):It's so good. All right. Back tothe show.
BrendanKing(13:17):She's got the pose andeverything. So Las Vegas chefs named James Beard Award semifinalists.
JackPalermo(13:22):Yes.
David (13:23):Yeah.
BrendanKing(13:23):James Beard is like the Oscarsof chefs. And we've got a few local ones. Who have we got here?
JackPalermo(13:31):Gina Marinelli from La Strega.
BrendanKing(13:32):Which we've frequented severaltimes.
JackPalermo(13:34):We frequent quite a bit. And shejust opened up new Harlo too, which I haven't been to, yeah.
BrendanKing(13:34):Oh, haven't been yet. Yeah.
JackPalermo(13:36):It's a caviar, stake place.There she is.
BrendanKing(13:39):There she is. And if you haven'tmet her, she is so sweet. She is there all the time. It's a cool spot. Likewhat do you call, kind of Art Decoish, I don't know.
JackPalermo(13:48):Yeah, kind of just a neathangout spot. It's awesome. The food is amazing.
BrendanKing(13:53):Food is so good.
JackPalermo(13:54):Homemade pasta.
BrendanKing(13:55):So good. And the menu changesall the time. She is seasonal. Literally, the menu will just be different thenext time you go back. Really great chef. What's the next one?
JackPalermo(14:05):Black Sheep, Jamie Tran. SoBlack Sheep is really, really cool. It's like a little kind of Asian-inspiredtapas place in the southwest. Very good, super cool environment.
BrendanKing(14:16):It was awesome.
JackPalermo (14:17):Food is great.
BrendanKing(14:17):Jack is our local foodie here atBKG.
JackPalermo(14:21):I like to eat.
BrendanKing(14:23):Anyhow, any restaurant any of ushaven't been, I'm always like, "Oh, none of us have been," Jack islike, "I've been there."
JackPalermo(14:23):I got it.
BrendanKing(14:27):"I've been theretwice."
JackPalermo(14:30):I got this.
BrendanKing(14:30):What's the next one?
JackPalermo(14:32):Big Dan Shanxi Taste. I've yetto go here, but it looks very good. The food looks great. It is located onSpring Mountain, 515 Spring Mountain Road.
BrendanKing(14:42):So crossing figures for ourthree finalists from Vegas, who do you take in this run?
JackPalermo (14:50):Gina Marinelli.
BrendanKing(14:51):Can they all win? Or is it justone award?
JackPalermo(14:52):Yeah, I think they all can.
BrendanKing(14:53):Maybe all can.
JackPalermo(14:53):Yeah, I think they all can.
BrendanKing(14:54):Let's take all three.
JackPalermo(14:55):Yeah, all three. Why not?
BrendanKing(14:56):I hope all three win the JamesBeard Award. Vegas has plenty of James Beard Award winners, and hope to add threemore. That would be amazing.
JackPalermo(15:03):That'd be awesome.
BrendanKing(15:04):MSG Sphere, we've been fillingyou guys in on this over time, the construction of it. It has reached a pivotalmoment in time where they have created this or built this thing called theMohawk...
JackPalermo(15:16):The Mohawk.
BrendanKing(15:18):... which will be a massivemetal support structure for nearly four acres of high resolution LED screens. And $1.9 billon, 17,500 seat entertainment venue. I just said $17,500.
JackPalermo(15:35):No, 500 seats.
BrendanKing(15:35):500 seats, that would be areally cheap venue. So yeah, $1.9 billion dollar, 17,500 seat venue, four acresof high resolution LED.
JackPalermo(15:48):So wait, so the entire steelframework to be completed later this year will weigh about 730 tons and supporta 160,000 square foot LED screen as well as 170,000 speaker multi-layered audiosystem. Say that five times [crosstalk 00:16:07].
BrendanKing (16:07):Yeah, and the system supposedlywill be similar to the theater at Love where they have spatial awareness, likethey can make sound move anywhere throughout the space...
JackPalermo (16:19):That's cool.
BrendanKing(16:19):... and follow the LEDs. So sayyou have like a comet, they can make the sound go bwooosh and literally followthe comment across the whole thing.
JackPalermo (16:28):Nice. Like IMAX back in the day.Yeah [crosstalk 00:16:29].
BrendanKing (16:29):Yeah, and that's what Love hasas well. Love had a similar situation where one sound took place on one side ofthe stage. They were able to spatially hone the sound in on those parts of thetheater. That's supposedly what they're going to do on epic proportions at theSphere. Epic proportions.
JackPalermo(16:29):I like that.
BrendanKing(16:48):That sounds huge.
JackPalermo(16:49):I like that.
BrendanKing(16:49):Yeah. So there's a lot ofpressure. Epic proportions.
JackPalermo(16:52):Epic proportions and MSG.
BrendanKing(16:53):But spatial audio, visually, this thing is going to be insanity. I almost feel like are you going to evenwatch the artist who is going to be performing.
JackPalermo(16:53):Not if you'll be looking aroundall the time.
BrendanKing(17:03):You're just going to be likethis, but that could be amazing. I hope they have reclining seats so you canjust like take in the show.
JackPalermo(17:03):Like the old IMAX theaters,yeah.
BrendanKing(17:11):But very, very cool. Can I seethat structure one more time?
David (17:14):[inaudible 00:17:14].
BrendanKing(17:14):Look at this thing. Giant metalstructure.
JackPalermo(17:19):When is it supposed to befinished, does it say? In the next?
BrendanKing(17:23):Sometime in [crosstalk00:17:24].
JackPalermo(17:23):Yeah, I think '23. Andsupposedly, the rumor has it is like they're going to... the first supposedresidency is going to be The Rolling Stones.
BrendanKing(17:33):Really?
JackPalermo(17:34):Yeah, that's the rumor. I meanit's rumor now. It's a year later, so who knows if they're still around, justto be honest.
BrendanKing(17:41):I was going to say, but I heldit in. I held it in.
JackPalermo(17:42):I don't hold anything.[crosstalk 00:17:44].
BrendanKing(17:44):So on another note, this is verycool and different. I'm curious how this is going to work, but Las Vegas ispart of Alaska Airlines first ever flight subscription service...
JackPalermo(17:56):Interesting.
BrendanKing(17:57):... which is crazy. So it'sdubbed the flight pass. Members can fly up to 24 round trip flights a year fora fixed monthly rate. But look at the rates.
JackPalermo(18:12):$49 a month. That starts andrequires booking at least 14 days advance before travel and as early as 90 daysin advance. But the most flexible is the Flight Pass Pro, Brendan. This onestarts at $199 a month and allows same day booking up to two hours beforedeparture and as early as 90 days in advance. So like you need to jump on aplane or whatever-
BrendanKing(18:34):Yeah, so, "Hey guys, I'mgoing to Hawaii, and I just booked it." You can get on a plane in twohours and go.
JackPalermo(18:34):You can fly there.
BrendanKing(18:39):But my question is $199, thatjust gives you the right to do that.
JackPalermo(18:43):Right.
BrendanKing(18:44):Then you got to buy the ticket.
JackPalermo(18:45):Right.
David (18:46):Do you still have to buy theticket?
JackPalermo(18:46):I don't know.
David (18:46):No, I don't think so.
JackPalermo(18:49):That's the whole thing of asubscription, you don't have to.
David (18:51):I think you don't have to payfor the ticket.
BrendanKing(18:52):But how does that work?
David (18:54):And it's got to be availabletoo.
JackPalermo(18:56):Only flying too.
David (18:58):Read the fine print.
BrendanKing(19:00):From what I can see here, they're only flying to Pahrump, Mesquite.
JackPalermo(19:07):And right over to Boulder Damand turn around.
BrendanKing(19:09):And Timmy's house. Don't evenknow who Timmy is. But-
JackPalermo(19:11):He's expecting you though. Heexpecting you.
BrendanKing(19:14):But we'll get more details onthat. But I'm very curious to see how that's going to work, like Hawaii, do youpay $200 a month, and you're just like...
JackPalermo(19:24):"I'm going."
BrendanKing(19:25):Or maybe there's levels, likeyou pay $200 a month for a certain route, and then other ones are like upgradedroutes.
David (19:32):Check the link.
JackPalermo(19:33):I want to check the link. I wantto look into this too.
David (19:34):Get a little bit moreinformation on that.
JackPalermo(19:35):Because like where does AlaskaAirlines fly?
BrendanKing(19:36):Should have done the research. But yeah, check the link.
JackPalermo(19:36):Check it out.
BrendanKing(19:39):Check the link, and then, youlet us know.
JackPalermo(19:41):Yeah, please. Please, messageus. Let us know.
BrendanKing(19:43):Because if I can go to Hawaiifor $200, I'll be out in two hours. Carl Icahn predicts the Fed's moneyprinting party will end badly. So if we all who knew Carl Icahn is, Carl Icahnis a billion Icahn-
JackPalermo(19:58):He's an icon.
BrendanKing(20:02):He's an icon, yeah.
JackPalermo(20:02):He is.
BrendanKing(20:02):An icon. He is a billionaireinvestor who tends to state his opinion all the time. According to Carl Icahn,he's warned that the red hot inflation spells trouble for markets. He said thisis not going to end happily. Icahn chairman said that he questioned the federalreserves unprecedented money printing game. So if you're not aware, sinceCOVID, they've been printing money like it's yesterday, like it's underwear.
JackPalermo(20:29):There we go. Printing [crosstalk00:20:29].
BrendanKing(20:28):Like literally just as if it wasa cup or a piece of paper, they're just printing money. And what the means ischeap money, which means lots of cheap loans, which means people flood themarket with cash.
JackPalermo(20:44):Yes.
BrendanKing(20:44):What that also means isinflation takes hold and what Carl had said in this, we're on a first namebasis.
JackPalermo(20:52):Yeah, Carl, Uncle Carl.
BrendanKing(20:53):What Mr. Icahn said was that youcan't... sooner or later, situation like this is going to end relatively badly. You can't keep printing out money and printing it up and printing it up becausethat's debt, and which you have now that you can't control. The governmentcan't control inflation. The only thing that control is its policy. Hehighlighted back in the '70s and '80s when this got out of hand, in hisopinion, he thinks it's already too late. Who knows? Let's be optimistic andsay that hopefully the rate increases coming up will help a little bit. Wedon't know. You know what? This is unprecedented times...
JackPalermo(20:53):Yeah, big time.
BrendanKing(20:53):... of epic proportions.
JackPalermo(20:53):Oh, I see what you did there.
BrendanKing(21:27):So these are unprecedentedtimes, it's going to be really interesting how this plays out. But let's see.Hopefully, what they can get a hold of this and bring it back to normalproportions.
JackPalermo(21:49):Normal proportions, I like it.
BrendanKing(21:51):What's going on with the rentshere?
JackPalermo(21:52):Rents reach insane levels acrossthe US with no end in sight. So rent increases, I've been going crazy. Personalstory of mine, I have a client who is closing on a house in 10 days. She is onher last month of her lease. Her landlord said, "Hey, you know, if youwant to stay, I'm upping your rent $1300, from $2700 to $4000 a month."
BrendanKing(22:14):Oh my God. That's a mortgage.
JackPalermo(22:15):It's crazy. It's insane.
BrendanKing(22:16):The increase is a mortgage.
JackPalermo (22:18):Right. So like the median rentrose an astounding 19.3% from December of 2020 to December of 2021. That'sinsane.
BrendanKing (22:27):Yeah. So $1200, no matter, evenif you rent is $10,000, $1200 is nearly 10%.
JackPalermo (22:36):The craziest place in America,Miami. Miami's rate, their rate went 49.8% higher. Exploded at $2850 [crosstalk00:22:48].
BrendanKing (22:48):So if you pay $2000, now you pay$3000.
JackPalermo (22:51):Almost five.
BrendanKing (22:51):Jesus.
JackPalermo (22:52):Yeah. It's insane.
BrendanKing (22:53):Yeah. That's insane.
JackPalermo (22:55):It's crazy.
BrendanKing (22:55):So, again, Carl Icahn, what dowe do?
JackPalermo (23:00):What do we do, Carl, Uncle Carl?
BrendanKing (23:01):Uncle Carl, Carly, Carl.
JackPalermo (23:04):What do we do?
David (23:04):You know what we do?
JackPalermo (23:04):We go to BTS.
David (23:05):We check our Monday Market.
JackPalermo(23:08):Oh, okay. [crosstalk 00:23:08]BTS.

BrendanKing(23:36):Yes. Text Market to702-553-1955. Some agents learned that number today at the event.
JackPalermo(23:42):Yes, they did. They did.
BrendanKing(23:43):We get to put this numbereverywhere.
JackPalermo(23:44):Everywhere.
BrendanKing(23:46):And then, one of our new blogswas about networking and real estate and how to do it. It was just a littlehelpful tip for people who are realtors and trying to meet clients and expandyour business. So here's some of the tips that we have on the blog. Not the websitebut the effort, of course, is valuable and costs money, but as far as somebodywho is new especially, hey, you've got your own audience that you could createright in front of you and people that you know already. For sure, build that onlinepresence. Use your hobbies and interests.
JackPalermo(24:43):Yeah, so I guess kind of like onthe social media aspect, it's like okay, yeah, show that you do real estate butalso show you as a human.

BrendanKing(25:04):But definitely use your hobbiesand interests. That's a good way. Using people that know you that know, like, and trust you who are more willing to actually use you as an agent.
JackPalermo(25:12):Right.

And theyknow, like, and trust you, family members, friends, schoolmates, just expandit. If you sit at home and stare at the walls, you're not going to meet newpeople, and you're not going to...
